Legalization of Medical Marijuana

Now a days teenagers are put in the situation of consuming marijuana, between 15 to 18 years old. Usually because of peer pressure or the curiosity of trying it, just like alcohol. Many US states have legalized the use of marihuana, although many states and countries deal with the big question. Should marijuana be legal or not?

For the past 40 years, many young people have thought that smoking pot was no big deal. You take it for fun, to relax, chill out. However many parents of today's kids, who may have used the drug when they were young, don't want their children to use. They have seen the harmful effects of this substance, and as years passed pot became illegal. But many have been convinced that "weed" is relatively "safe" and certainly not as bad as heroin and cocaine. Those drugs, they say, can have severe effects.

When most people are asked why they favor or oppose legalizing marijuana, people on opposite sides of the issue offer very different perspectives. But a common answer of opposing legalization is that marijuana is a dangerous drug, one that inflicts damage in the brain and on society more generally. But what people are not aware is of what supporters might say. Supporters of legalization mention its perceived health benefits, or see it as no more dangerous than other drugs. The medical use of marijuana (cannabis) has been used as a potential treatment for a number of neurologic conditions, including epilepsy, and other seizures. There are legal issues surrounding access to cannabis, as well as a lack of scientific research on the usefulness and safety of marijuana as a treatment for seizures. Additionally, many different substances containing cannabis are being used which makes will cause marijuana, soon to be legalized.
