This is me! Monica Lopez

     Hello, my name is Monica Lopez a Senior in Carol Morgan School. I was born in the new millennium, born in January 28, 2000 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where I have lived all my life. I know every place from the busy city of Santo Domingo, to the sandy beaches of Sosua. I am a proud Dominican with descendants from Spain and Turkey on my father’s side, and Spanish and French ascendants on my mother’s side. Interesting fact is that my name derives from the Latin word moneo, which mean advisors. People don’t usually expect to know that I have attended Carol Morgan School 12 years since Pre- Kinder, it is my second home.
    I dedicate a major part of my life to my family. I am the middle child and the only girl. Daniel my oldest brother is seventeen years old and currently a senior in Carol Morgan and Nicolas fourteen years old a freshman in Carol Morgan as well. My brothers are my partners in crime and best friends, they are a major influence to many aspects of my life. Apart from my family, my group of friends is very important to me. If I am not spending time with my family I will be with my friends.
    This year in current events I want to get a better understanding of what is happening in the world around me, and why it happening. Also would like to learn how to manage my social media, and learn the effect it can have later when I want to apply for a job. I’m highly excited to take this course, and this how I can grow as a member in the virtual world.
