Goalkeeper for Goal #1
Goalkeeper for Goal #1
The Global Goals association decided to set 17 goals to help solve the most severe problems that are seen all around the world, and they have named them “The Global Goals.” The Global Goals are goals that have been set by a group of people to help make the world a better place. I found all of these goals helpful, intriguing, and precise, but I found one goal to be the most important and relatable to me. This goal is goal #1 of the Global Goals, which is No Poverty. Their goal is that by 2030, they will have ended poverty in all its forms in any part of the world. I chose to be a goalkeeper for goal #1 for a number of different reasons. First of all, I believe that poverty is a problem that affects a number of different people around the world, especially in those countries with less resources. This can affect a person in a number of different ways, like impeding them to have a shelter, food, water, cloth, hygiene, security, medical security, and many more. To continue, I believe that the the subgoals of this goal are really straightforward, realistic, and I believe that they have an excellent plan to solve this problem. For example, a goal that they set to solve this problem is that by 2030, they will reduce at least by half the proportion of men, women and children of all ages living in poverty in all its dimensions. Another goal that they setted to solve this problem is that by 2030, they will ensure that all men and women, in particular the poor and the vulnerable, have equal rights to economic resources, as well as access to basic services, ownership and control over land and other forms of 13 property, inheritance, natural resources, appropriate new technology and financial services, including microfinance. I found both of these goals very interesting, since they are realistic and they will give extreme help to solve this problem. I am a goalkeeper for goal #1, and I will do whatever it takes to form part of ending poverty around the world.
