Islamic State
When we watched the video of “The Islamic State” I
felt very emotional in a way that it impacted my perspective on how those
people live and how they are raised. In a society in which people are
brainwashed into thinking that hatred and killing is fine. Where twisted
interpretations are used daily to distort reality and used for their own
benefits. A society where a special religious police named Hisbah constantly
oppresses individuals. The Hisbah are the government of the Islamic State they
intervene to “command right and forbid wrong” in order to keep everything in
order according to Sharia, the laws of Allah. In the video I was impacted on
how the Hisbah went around in a car carrying guns supervising individuals and
telling them what to do. For example, there was this man who was walking down
the streets with his wife and the Hisbah stopped him and told him that his wife
shouldn’t be in public like that because her veil was to transparent and it is
not appropriate. I personally think that is absurd that in this century still
in some places there is no freedom of speech and how people are constantly
oppressed by people who believe they have the power of god and that they do
certain action in god's name. Also another thing that was very shocking to me
about the video was how little kids where brainwashed. From a very young age,
kids are exposed to extreme violence and are taught to hate and kill other
people. I was personally stunned when a man asked his 4-5 year old son about
becoming a jihadist or to execute a martyrdom and when they asked another kid
about 9 years old if he had used a gun before and he said yes. It is disturbing
to see how these children are raised to be killers and to hate Americans,
Russians and infidels and all those they think are against them.
