This semester
While in this class I learned a lot about the world we live in. To be honest I don’t really like surfing the internet for news or reading the newspaper in the mornings and this class really helped me keep up to date with what is happening around me. Personally my favorite thing about the class was the involvement of 21st century skills, everyday we had to bring our laptops or our devices and browse the internet for news. We also had to do blogs that Ms. Costales assigned to us every week reflecting and thinking back to the topic of the week and what we had learned about it. We also had to post every Tuesday an Instagram picture relating to the weeks topic. The little things in this class was what I loved. My favorite topic were the bombings in Paris by the terrorist group ISIS, This topic later led us into a more in-depth week on the terrorist group and the area they habitat in. I learned during this week how big of a role their religion plays in their every day lives and how the society over there is so caught up trying to make their god happy that they would do anything for him even commit suicide if the have to, there is severe brainwashing over in that part of the middle east. In general I really did like the class and its size, we were only six this semester and that is what made it so much fun. Some feedback I would give to the teacher is to try to involve more the students and make them bring news to the class more, even though we did to some extent it would be better if there was a way students did more, the class really was able to work because of Ms. Costales and she did a terrific job.
I know this is late, but thanks for being a good contributor in class. Wish you all the best in college and life!
