Water Importance
Drinking
water is as important as the water we use for hygiene and personal needs.
Most of the water used in the world is used in agriculture. We need agriculture
for us to have food, and we need food to survive. Many villages and communities
around the world don't have the same advantages as the ones who are privileged
and have the ability to enjoy these advantages. One of these advantages is to
have a toilet, a sink and shower in your household, if lucky, one per person or
room in the house. Some families are not even able to find water to drink and
to fulfill their essential needs. We citizens of the world have to work
together on implementing residual water systems in which the water containing
wastes gets cleaned up and reused. Some people may not even be aware these
systems exist, but they do. The types of wastes in water that can be recyclable include
soap from washing, and human wastes in toilets. As out current events teacher
showed us a video showing children in India are getting violently assaulted on
their way to toilets. You may wonder, “how is that possible, a toilet is
usually inside your house.” Well this is the reality in impoverished villages
were bathrooms are shared among the people of the village. These bathrooms or
“toilets” may not even be complete they are latrines, or wholes in the ground
where people go and do their necessities. People in these impoverished areas have
even taught themselves to use the bathroom once a day, this not healthy your
organs are not supposed to hold up that long for you to deposit your wastes. It
is incredible to see, that people don’t have what is essential for them right
there in their lives, like water, food or toilets.
I like how you included a picture to give a better explanation.
