Why Water is Essential
Water is the resource a human being needs the
most. Did you know that humans could survive for more time without food rather
than without water? It is incredible how important water is for us, while many
people don’t even consider it. They take it for granted. Around the world,
there are many small towns and villages where there is a lack of clean water.
For example, in India, there is a town where there is only one toilet for
everyone due to the scarcity of clean water. It is so unfair that many people around
the world can’t do their basic necessities when they need to due to this issue.
Because of this, many people have trained themselves to go to the toilet only
once a day. Could you imagine yourself going through that? Apart from not being
able to do this, lack of clean water also means disease. The most common is
diarrhea and stomach aches. This leads to death due to being dehydrated. There
could be many things done to help reduce this problem. The first one is using
less water at home. Even though the majority of the world’s clean water is used
for agriculture and industry, this could still make a difference. Turn the
water off while brushing your teeth, turn off the shower while you spread the
shampoo or soap, press the small button on your toilet while you do number one
instead of both (if you have the option). There are already powerful people
helping like Bill Gates. He is offering about 40 million dollars to whoever
makes a toilet that doesn’t use electricity and makes the waist useful for
something else. We need to act up and help in whatever way as soon as possible.
This will reduce deaths due to lack of clean water. This will lead to a
brighter future.
Good writing...I would like more of your opinion and less recounting the work done in class.
