Child Mortality

Child mortality is a huge issue in the world we live in today. Millions of children suffer every day and thousands die as a result of hunger. While we are not able to see this side of the world it is still a problem that deserves our attention. Child mortality is a result of a lack of education in many of the sub saharan countries. These countries have made significant strides in lowering their child mortality. Having said that they still have high child mortality rates. But by looking at only their child mortality rate and not their overall progress would be a disservice to them. We must embrace any kind of progress and continue to help them in finding a solution.

Many of the child mortality problems are due to lack of education in those areas. Contraceptive sex education is not available to the people. People are then susceptible to STD's and pass them on to their children. HIV is a factor that causes misery to many in the world. Furthermore without the use of condoms many people have a lot of kids which increases the risk of hunger as they don't have enough to feed all their children.
