Climate Change

Climate Change is something we can’t no longer ignore. I found it very interesting the Ted Talk we saw about a woman that only produce a jar of waste in a year. It is very eye opening seeing simple ways we can reduce the waste we produce. By just using baking soda to wash your teeth and a wooden toothbrush instead of plastic tube of toothpaste and a plastic toothbrush you  just reduce the plastic footprint you are having in the planet and helping fight against climate change.
With the research we have done in class I have learned that animal agriculture has greater impact on the greenhouse gas emissions than transportation with 18 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions. Annually livestock and their byproducts emits 51 percent of all greenhouse gases worldwide or, 32,000 million tons of carbon dioxide. Livestock also uses 34- 76 trillion gallons of water annually and 80 percent - 90 percent of the water in the US is used for agriculture. Water is could be saved just be reducing the consumption of meat and the grow of food to feed the livestock. If we decrease the meat we consume that can have a very positive impact in fighting against climate change.
