Child Mortality
Many people like us who probably live stable lives and our parents support us economically, do not realize the threats of child mortality. Currently, child mortality is a big issue in the world, since many infants are dying due to lack of resources, viruses, and even food among others. It is true that child mortality rates have gone down globally, but still a numerous amount of infants die because of child morality every year. In the Dominican Republic, sex education needs more awareness. What I am saying is that women must be aware of Sexually transmitted diseases and must have knowledge and know the consequences of having unprotected sex.. etc.
Another factor that should be worked on in the Dominican Republic is the amount of babies a man and a woman have. Some families here, especially the lower class people tend to have huge families with over 8 kids! If we reduce the amount of babies produced we can lower the rates of child mortality. The problem with having many kids is that there will be no resources available for all of them so people should plan before having babies. However, the Dominican republic has gotten better throughout the years. They have implemented more clean water systems, and sanitation facitilites.
The faster we address the problem, the better it will be for the country.

What do you mean by saying women need to get sex ed? What about men? Also, having less babies will of course reduce the amount of children that die in infancy, but how would you deal with the actual rate of child mortality? Food for thoughts.
