What is child mortality?

“Child Mortality is the death of children and infants under the age of five years old, (SOS Children’s Village).” How can this be possible in a society were the most precious and valuable are children and elders? These are the most respected and cared for citizens in the world. I believe child mortality is unacceptable. How can we offer special parking to an elder person or to a pregnant women, and at the same time let innocent new born creatures called babies, die from lack of food? Food water and health are essential for humans and our world, our society “Our” means us all humans included. How can we let our own suffer from something we would never want to even belief ourselves? Lets take action, fight child mortality, it is unfair to children who have no sense of thought, responsibility, or knowledge to find their own food, lets bring it to them so they can be great participants of our society. “Every day there are an estimated 21,000 children under the age of five that are dying, (World Health Organization).” As you can see, my sources are world organizations, taking an initiative to fight for this issue. In my current events class we, have been discussing and watching TED talks given by experts who know about this issues. Experts say that there are other issues we have to deal with, in order to help this one, meaning issues that are directly related to this one. Experts say that if we focus on educating women, investing in health and measuring economic and mortality statistics every 10 years, the problem of mortality will become less and less of an issue to the world. It is not fair for a newly born child to suffer malnutrition, it is not fair for anyone on this planet, so take a stand and start helping those with hunger.
