Class Time

During Ms. Costales's absence we might not have indulged in “current events” work but we did appreciate the time that was given to us as a “study hall sesh.” Personally I took full advantage of this class to work on my college essay. This was a very stressful time for all the seniors who are applying early action/decision because all of the essays are due shortly. As well as it was due for Mrs. Honor’s class on Friday. I asked my peers to revise my college essay and they were a lot of help for me. As well as I had the opportunity to read other college essays of my peers and get an idea of what a college essay looks like. Without this time I would have not been able to finish my essay on time so I am eternally grateful for this class time. Ms. Costales probably feels like we took advantage of her not being present and didn’t do any work but ill have you know that we did work, we finished a lot of homework during this time and helped each other out. We also behaved very well for Mrs. Marta and listened to her when she thought we were disrespecting her. We followed her instructions and were very quiet during class time. I feel very lucky to have had the time to revise my college essay as it turned out to be very good. Maybe not entirely due to the time I had in class but a very large part of it was the feedback I got from my peers. As well as the college essay many were working on other homework like math or science. There was a huge math test coming up and many took the time to ask Juangi some insightful questions.
