Immigration
Immigration is a huge deal, not only in our country, but in the entire world. This cycle we have been studying immigration laws and people who migrate to different places in the world, and we've seen a trend. We've realized how people migrate to another place because they want a better future; Migration is a way for people to give a better life to their children. It's incredible to see this correlation and then realize how Donald Trump can talk about Mexicans like they are abominations. The U.S. has done a horrible job by alienating the immigrants they receive. While Australia has the most incredible way of dealing with this "issue". I just think it's incredibly horrible how sometimes we choose to view immigrants as just numbers on a piece of paper when in reality they have a back story. We need to realize that we are all humans and the reason people migrate is for a better life; immigrants want to work, they want give back, they want something better we cant just shrug them off. A person cannot be deemed "illegal" because a person cannot be consider "illegal". We must learn to give chances, we must learn to give back because it's not all about politics, and the economy it's also about who we are as people.
I definitely agree with your argument. We often forget to be compassionate and consider each person's tough life story.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the fact that you adressed the Mexicans in the US topic
ReplyDeleteExcellent point: immigrants do want to give back, many just need a chance to do so. Well done! Missing 89 words though. Please, do a word count before posting. Thank you.
