My Life in a Few Words

          Hi, my name is Isabella Giraldi I was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on January 24,1999 I am currently 17 and studying at Carol Morgan School finishing my senior year. My family is of six including my mom Sylvia, my dad Noel, my brothers Noel and Andre and my sister Renata. I am the smallest of the family and I actually like it. Recently I got accepted into three of my favorite colleges including Savannah College of Art and Design, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Wentworth Institute of Technology. For me this is a great achievement due to the fact that I was never a stellar student. Through my high school years I was excellent in mathematics and art which lead me to my love and passion for architecture. Last week I went on a college visit trip with my mom, aunt, and grandmother. My goal in life is to graduate from college and come back to Santo Domingo to work in the family business. First we went to Savannah and it was amazing. I went thinking I wouldn't like it because of what people had told me, but it was the total opposite. After Savannah we went to Chicago to visit SAIC. I didn't like it as much as SCAD but the workshop I did there was amazing. I got the opportunity to experience what a college class would be like, and not only that but I learned a ton of new stuff. Currently, the world has faced numerous violent attacks. Many of these attacks have been happening in schools. School shootings has become a regular thing, almost weekly we hear a news of a kid who brought a gun to school and shotted his/her's classmates and teacher. This topic is something that is very important for me I feel that something needs to be done, we can't let this keep happening.
