About the Author

My name is Samir Bonetti Kury, I am a 17 year old boy. I am currently attending the Carol Morgan School as a senior. I am a basketball fan and a member of the varsity basketball team in my school. I consider myself a true NBA fan. My favorite player is Stephen Curry. He is known as the best shooter in the history of the NBA, and I also hope he is going to be known as one of the best players in NBA history, a pioneer for Oakland basketball. I also like participating in community service clubs. I am Vice president of Hogar del Niño where we go to La Vega one saturday each month. We go to an orphanage where we play with orphan kids. There are many current events I am interested in like the Donald Trump presidency. But I am more interested in current events in the Dominican Republic. For example the Odebrecht problem and the march that happened just last week. I took the course of current events with the hope of learning more about what's happening in the world this is also one of my new year's resolutions. Even though we have only had a couple classes I am already feeling more informed and interested in global current events. I hope that by the end of the course I feel comfortable reading the news and I hope to gain a plethora of skills that will help attain more cultural knowledge.
