What does it mean to be a citizen of the world?

     What does it mean to be a citizen of the world? Everyone has a different view on what it is to be a good member of society. Some think that by being a criminal they are being good, others think that by giving to society they are being good members, others by working and being successful they are good members of society. Each person has a different view.

     I perceive being a good member of society doing all my duties. By doing all my duties, I am always active and I am somehow helping someone. I also am more aware of what is going on and do everything in my possibility to make the world better. 

     Giving back to society is a big thing in my believe to which I stand on being a good member of society. Thank to god, I have been given a lot of possibilities, so with what I have, I have the opportunity of helping a lot of people who are in need, and by that impacting a community slowly. 

Working hard, being successful is also another way of being a citizen of the world. If I am successful, it means the whole company is being successful, which means more people will have a salary from my company, which helps a little to each family involved. Lets say my company employs 100 workers. If I continue to work hard and be successful, hopefully in the coming years I would go from 100 to 500 which now means I am giving 500 families something to eat, which in my perspective, means being a good citizen of the world, since by your acts and what you do, many families not only yours is on your hands. That is why, once I have the experience, I will do everything possible to do most things right and keep adding people so the unemployment rate in this island diminishes.
