World Peace

World peace is something we all want, yet something that seems so far away from achieving. We are not close to achieving this goal and probably will never live to see it.  This is sad yet there is not much we can do about it. Humans are naturally bound to fight for what they believe in and cause conflicts. World peace would only happen in a fictional utopian society, its basically imposible to make every country agree and have similar opinion, because of the fact that humans are driven by greed and wealth. Greed is a primary factor in war as it motivates and fuels many conflicts. Many of todays world conflicts, have some deeper meaning and someone is definitely benefiting from it. Weapon distributers are always in need of war, as it fuels their economy. With such powerful men, wanting wars, it is evident that they will continue to occur.  Its like cigarettes, as long as a large company is backing them up they will never become illegal. In 2017 we are as far from world peace as we've  been in a long time. Massive conflicts around the globe have occurred, and we are unstable, as nuclear warfare could happen at any time. The accessibility of nuclear weapons has become wide-scale, not anymore do you need to be a massive powerhouse country to control these powerful weapons. Small yet dangerous countries have risen, countries like North Korea are a threat, with nuclear power to their arsenal it provides uncertainty to the United States and the rest of the world. Controversial figures like Donald Trump have risen, and have brought even more hatred and discrimination to the U.S. World peace is definitely far, and won't be happening for an extremely long time.
