"Humanity is on a collision course with nature."

Human evolution goes strictly along with the creation of technologies. People live their lives creating gadgets and accommodations to help them in their daily lives. At times, these technologies might affect the environment. This is one of the reasons why climate change has become one major issue for the entire world. Right now world organizations have made conferences to discuss the world issue that climate change has become. In our current events class, we have seen various TED Talks discussing this issue and its magnitude. In one of the Ted Talks, Al Gore the ex-vice president of the United States and former climate change activist discussed the issues within climate change and how governments are dealing with it. In his Ted Talk, he mentioned that senators of the United States don't even take a glimpse at the proposals for climate change. He says this is because these senators or political candidates are all sponsored during their campaigns by owners of companies who might get affected if these new laws and regulations get passed out. After he finished his TED speech he quoted Charles Dickens "It was the best of times and the worst of times." In this quote, Dickens explains what currently happening in the world. This is the best of times because of all the advances, cures for diseases, the invention of the iPhone, the invention of electric cars. But on the other side, he mentions the worst of times because of the damages we are paying back to our earth our planet. I believe humans have to be more aware of what they take and they we give back to Earth. We need more of our planet than it needs from us. We have to maintain our planet the way it is, and not make it worse, lets act against climate change.
