course reflection

This class has been a very refreshing class to take. Sometime school gets overwhelming and finally learning about something different has been nice. I sometimes feel like I do not know what is going on in the world around me, and this is one of the main reasons I took this course. Another reason I took this course was because I want to study communications and I have always been interested in how media has been changing over the years and affecting society. One of my favorite parts of the class was watching the ted talks. Even though I feel asleep in some, I feel really inspired by these talks. I would even imagine myself one day standing up on a stage and doing the same. Me favorite subject was when we studied women in the media. Women in the media seems like an over talked about issue, but in reality it is very deep. I hope some day I have the power to create my own media and start a movement to reach the same respect for women that people have for men. Especially living in this society, it seems that women being disrespected is just something that is expected, when in reality it should be something to feel shame about.
