Todo Acerca de Leslie McKinney

     

This semester in current events has been very educational. I have learned a lot of things that by my own I would have never learned or searched for. Through ted-talks, articles,and infographics I have learned a lot of stuff. This course has also added things to my knowledge. I learned how to make an infographic which makes learning information much simpler than reading an article. I have learned more about the problems that the world is currently facing not only conflicts between countries but the conflicts inside the society. Problems like this have emerged through time  because of different opinions about race, gender, and other things. This course has taught me that we the young people have the opportunity to change the world. If we do not take the opportunity  it will continue to get worse. My favorite project that we did in this class was the one that we currently did. We had a topic, (mine was about how women were portrayed on the tv) and we had to cut pictures that represented the tv shows and say which were good and bad and explain why. After taking this class I know that it will help me in the future.
