End of Semester Reflection
While the semester is ending, one of my favorite classes is
as well. Here in Current Events, we
learned so much about interesting topics like the legalization of marijuana,
ISIS, and women’s rights. Even though other classes gave me a lot of pressure,
this class was special because I learned a lot and did not overwork. I felt
relaxed and interested at the same time.
At the beginning
of the year, I was considering dropping this class. I almost didn’t know anyone
in the room, and I felt very awkward being in a room full of juniors. However,
I got to know everyone and felt included in every discussion and activity we
had as a class. For this, I only have Ms. Costales to thank. This class has the
potential to be extremely boring, but her methods have made it extremely
interesting and insightful. Projects like the info graphic and the woman body
weren’t just regular projects; they were based on thing we don’t usually learn
in school but are important to realize.
Overall, I
will miss this class. I prefer the cool, relaxing ambiance of Ms. Costales room
than the stress filled one for SEE. I didn't just learn here; I made myself a better person.
Thank you Jaime; I really enjoyed getting to know you better!
