Current Events 2016

Through out this semester we have discussed a various of topics such as, Syrian refugees, ISIS, Women’s rights, the legalization of marijuana and the global goals. All of this topics have been of great benefit for us all to become aware, and make others more conscious of some of the worlds most damaging conflicts. However, the topic I enjoyed the most was talking about ISIS because its a topic that is constantly discussed , but not many solutions have been made. Moreover, I think talking about this helped us really understand the roots of the problem, what is being done, and what we can do to change the situation. Furthermore, another unit I really enjoyed getting deep into was the legalization of marijuana. For instance, I personally have always been opposed to the use of marijuana for medical use ,however, talking about it in class made me look at the whole subject in another perspective. I now, believe that marijuana should be available for medical uses worldwide. In conclusion, I really enjoyed this class and believe that we were able to get a better grasp topics which we already knew about ,but never really understood.
