Global Citizenship
In recent years the world has become profoundly more interconnected. With the coming of the internet and the smart phone the world has changed like never before. Yet, we are still not aware of the world around us. We shield ourselves from the suffering or we just don't do anything about it. We have the power to powerfully impact the world in a positive way. To be considered a global citizen you must not only show and interest in helping the world. You must actually do something about it, you must take action. Global citizenship entails being aware of the world and around you and the issues that take place. Picking and choosing is not an option. Caring about what goes on in the world and being passionate about making a change. It can be as simple as raising awareness by sharing things on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram or donating what you can to charity. Sometimes the littlest things have the biggest impact. You can work your way up from there. The point is that you have to take action no matter how small it is. The contribution is all that matters. Because when you do one good deed it creates a ripple effect. One good deed leads to another and another. And if everybody begins to do just one good deed than it adds up and what may seem insignificant when one person does it can have a great impact when millions do it.
Tarde.
