Peace or WW3

The world has been in an almost eternal conflict since the begin of humanity. No matter where or when there have been conflicts. Wars have written our history and changed the course of humanity numerous times. Recently, however, things have intensified in the Middle East and the US and Western World has struggled to find a suitable answer. As time goes on nothing seems to be getting better and our TV screens are constantly filled with new bombings and terrorist attacks. The world is reaching a tipping point. It has a choice to continue with what it is doing or to escalate its efforts to combat terrorism. There are two types of views when it comes to these matters. One group says to escalate its efforts by any means and deal with the consequences later. The other group suggests a more peaceful approach and to fully think things through rather than act quickly and swiftly. Either way there is no perfect approach for every situation.

In my opinion I do not believe that WW3 will happen any time soon. Regardless of the increase in terrorist attacks and the US and Russia's deteriorating relationship the world simply cannot handle another world war. It would be irresponsible and by no means in anyone's best interest to cause another global war. With the new technologies available now the likelihood of mass destruction is higher than ever. Total devastation would be a very real possibility. Therefore I do not believe that any country would willingly enter a world war knowing that it could possibly lead to disastrous and irreversible consequences.
