Its about the CBD not the THC.

Before this documentary, I was totally against the use of marijuana in any way. I believed it just lead to being dependent on it, and made people much more susceptible to addiction than any other drug out there in the market. Even though the U.S Food and Drug Administration has yet not recognized or even approved the marijuana plant as medicine, I strongly agree that for medicine use; marijuana should be legalized. For instance, CBD is a chemical that can be found on marijuana plants and its known to help treat certain conditions such as childhood epilepsy.  It also may be useful in reducing pain, inflammation, and even treating mental illness. Because of this, scientists have been breeding the marijuana plant and separating CBD in oil forms with treatment purposes. This chemical in particular does not provide any type of “high” and its not intoxicating. It is actually, according to National Institute on Drug Abuse able to increase appetite and reduce nausea. As well as, may also be able to decrease pain, and muscle control problems. In conclusion, I believe that marijuana should be legalized. However, only for medicinal use, as CBD does not affect the mind or behavior, and may be crucial to saving lives worldwide.
