Current Events Class Reflection
This year's current event class was very successful. All the topics we discussed were interesting and taught me things I did not know about what was going around the world. We looked into many situations and this helped me not only in my school education but also in my outside communication. For a future current event class, it would be better if the due dates would be spread out throughout the week instead of all in one day. I usually remembered the exact day it was due and had to do everything rushing because I was used to not having assignments due throughout the other days of the week. I did not find the instagram post very necessary because we just posted to get out of it and did not use it like a regular social media because we had our personal account. Many of the TedTalks were too long or very boring and I am sure that there are more interesting videos out in the internet that we could also learn from. I really liked that we had the blog due one week yes and the other week no because we had many assignments to do for the same day from this class and other classes. When we shared our tweets in class, we also learned about other events that were occurring world wide and had nothing to do with what we were currently studying in class. We did many fun projects such as the one we recently did about women through music, media, government, and many other. A great lesson was when we watched the debates and talked about the election in the USA because it was fun and engaged all of the students. This class was a great opportunity to open my mind into what was actually happening around the world and how I could contribute to solve many of the problems. I recommend this class to all my peers because it is a different class in which we study things that are important to our own knowledge and entertaining at the same time. Loved this class Costi! Your the best!
Thank you for your feedback Lore...I will take it into consideration for the following semester. Loved having you again in class!
