Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret  a documentary made by 2014 that describes the negative effects of animal agriculture on the environment, and what the government/ environmental organizations is doing to prevent it. This documentary reveals that animal agriculture has greater impact on the greenhouse gas emissions than transportation with 18 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions. Annually livestock and their byproducts emits 51 percent of all greenhouse gases worldwide or, 32,000 million tons of carbon dioxide.
One issue the documentary addresses is water consumption. Livestock uses 34- 76 trillion gallons of water annually and 80 percent - 90 percent of the water in the US is used for agriculture. Water is could be saved just be reducing the consumption of meat and the grow of food to feed the livestock. Another issue the documentary touches is the deforestation the animal agriculture is producing. Animal eat a lot of food per day, so large amount of grain has to be grown to feed the cows. Larger amounts of land is being cut for this. Lastly another issue touched is the amount of greenhouse gases livestock produces. It accounts for more greenhouse gas emission than fossil fuels.

I couldn’t be a vegan because my lifestyle is very dependent son livestock. I eat chicken or meat everyday, as well as yogurt or milk. Something that can help me though is that I don’t like eggs. I’ve been raised my whole life with a certain lifestyle change it now can be very difficult.
