Cowspiracy
This was a very informal movie. It talks about all the problems the meat industry brings to the world and the overall world health. Some of the issues are carbon and methane emissions, also the water consumption and the land use. It follows Kip Anderson as he finds out why all the major environmentalist groups don't talk about and avoid 50% of why environmental issues are little by little killing the Earth. I think 3 of the most important conflicts they talk about in the movie is carbon emission, wasting of water, and deforestation. Carbon emission is a big problem. It basically is when cows poop or fart they produce carbon which goes to the ozone layer and breaks it little by little. Then there is wasting of water. The huge problem of keeping a lot of cows is that they need 1,874 gallons of water just to make one pound of beef. And we are living in a world were a lot of people don't have these necessary resources like water and we are wasting 1,874 gallons for one pound of beef. And one of the biggest problem is the deforestation because we are cutting up trees to create living space for these animals. It is said that 90% of the Amazon deforested areas are given to animal growing. When Mrs.Costales ask me if I would go vegan I instantly knew my answer , no. I really feel bad for everything happening to the Earth but I have eaten beef since I was a baby. My mom would gave it to me for when I was crying for something to chew on. Beef has been a huge part of my life since a young age. Cowspiracy is a very interesting documentary with intresting points I recommend it.
