The Pot Case

When it comes to medicine there are many kinds. From cough syrup to morphine, but there are others that are more herbal or “earthy”. Some of these herbal and more natural drugs are free and practically harmless and very much legal while others not so much. Marijuana is considered one of these illegal drugs that some people take claiming medical need. This is or maybe be true but that isn’t the only use of Marijuana. Other people who are more fortunate, don’t rely on Marijuana for medical reasons but more entertainment reasons. They want to get “high” or whatever they want to call it and just smoke it. This is where the argument tends to get complicated. On one hand this could help cure people and might even revolutionize modern medicine. On the other people who use it for recreational use abuse this substance and can become completely stoned because of it. Many people wish to legalize this herb but it doesn’t help that you’re growing it illegally or that you are buying them from the cartel. I don’t see how they think this will help them get Marijuana legalized by breaking every possible law attached to it and being stupidly sent to jail. Most people think the government is being too rough with them by sending them to jail, but to be honest that just dumb. They shouldn’t expect any less from the police after breaking a law. They deserve just punishment for breaking a law they knew of and shouldn’t complain about unfairness of it. Moving on from the social and legal prospect of this I believe that Marijuana or Cannabis as it is medically referred to, should only be legalized for medical purposes and not to mess around with. I honestly believe that and I hold a firm belief to it.

  2. Even though people use it for recreational purposes, there are no reported deaths and the harm that it causes you is not that big. For that purpose, even cigarettes are worse.

  3. This is very well written, I like how you started with the term "Herbal," and how sometimes people use this term to abuse the substance.

  4. Even though many people use recreationally, it hasn't caused problems as big as other drugs such as cocaine or meth. This is why it is legal in some states.
