Here I am.

So we are back. Welcome to your revamped Media in Current Events class. A new school year brings new challenges, course load and protocols, principal and peers, for me and for you. Most of you know me well. I am positive, caring and loves to change and grow constantly; being kind is my motto. I read voraciously, preferably curled up in the couch, and love to workout in different ways, being weightlifting, rowing, swimming or practicing yoga. There are not enough hours in one day for everything I like to do. I am a wife, working every day to be a good partner in life. I am a mom, Jaime Alberto is now in 10th grade and Sofía is in 7th grade. We have three pets, Mac the Husky, Cooper, a Lhasa apso "terrorista", and Lolo, my favorite, a gorgeous Himalayan cat. Love bread, cheese and flan de leche. Live for football season and the Green Bay Packers. This will be my second year teaching Current Events, which has evolved and grown from last year. My wish is still to make it meaningful, interesting and in general a period to look forward to, both for my students and for myself. We will watch media that hopefully you will find interesting and thought provoking. To succeed in this class you must bring an open mind and a wish to become a better citizen/person in whatever role you choose in life. I hope you can help me make it dynamic and fun too. My outlook in life is that one should have more memories and less stuff. Let's make this work! Namasté.
