Jaime Vega's Life Story

            Hello, my name is Jaime Vega and I am a casual 17-year-old living in the Dominican Republic. I was born on June 16th, 1999 in Santo Domingo and have lived here all my life with my big sister, little brother, and parents. I am a senior at CMS despite the 6th Grade attitude I have. I am planning to study Media and Communications when I leave this year, but I am not sure of what colleges I will apply to yet. As for my hobbies, I really enjoy going out and having a good time with my friends and families, especially to restaurants. I am what some people call a “foodie” and love to explore and to eat something different everyday. I also have a huge passion for film. My favorite movies include Empire Strikes Back, Back To The Future, The Departed, and many more. Every weekend, I take the time to watch a couple of movies to relieve me from the stress that is schoolwork. Although I may seem like a lazy person, I am pretty active, as I usually go out and play sports with my friends at least twice a week. Some of my favorites include soccer and basketball, while I can also usually play tennis.

            I consider myself pretty involved in school activities as well. I have been part of the CMS Advanced Choir for 3 years and have been involved in the school’s all-boys and mixed acapella groups for 3 years as well. The past 2 years I was also part of the school’s MUN team, where I learned so much about international relations. This year, I am starting my own film club, where we will create 2 full-length films before the end of the year. So, despite my tendency to be lazy and disinterested in what I feel isn’t necessary, I enjoy pursing my passions and pushing them to the max.
