Gender Equality???

I do not believe that gender equality is ever possible. The sole reason for me thinking this is because men and women are not the same. Yes we should both have the same rights and are entitled to the same things but thinking that women and men are supposed to be thought of as the same is just wrong. Men are one way and women are another way, it is just how it is. Gender equality does not work. We are different. We should all be treated in the same way and as equals since we are all humans. We should be payed the same, we should all have the same opportunities, we should all be respected. This is the same with race. It is obvious we are not all the same color, nothing wrong with that, but this should not be an issue since we are all humans. There are many issues that come from gender inequality. One of them, the one that bothers me the most, is the people that actively talk about one gender being superior to another. Nobody is better than someone at everything, people have strengths and also weaknesses. Like men tend to be stronger than women (physically), women can withstand more pain. Another thing that incredibly bothers me is double standards, or in other words standards that apply to a certain gender and don’t apply to the other. In an article I read online that talks about the top 25 double standards this is one that appealed to me the most is “If a woman hits a man, he is expected to ignore it/not say anything. If a man hits a woman, instant scandal.”
