Summary of Learning

I can say that for sure this class was one of my major highlights during the second semester of this school year. I learned about things I didn't even know were occurring around me or such that I wasn't full aware of. The topic about gender inequality was I could say one of the major topics we discussed as a class. From my point of view I feel like every single one of us that were in that class got a chance to say how we felt about the topic. It was such a thrill to see how most of the girls in the class expressed their feminism they had within in some way or another when talking about the gender issues. Another one of the topics we also discussed that made a tremendous impact on me was that of the Syrian Refugee Crisis. I felt so bad at listening to those poems and watching those people who are under such pain and struggling to survive that is really heartbreaking. It left a mark on me that made realise how grateful I should be because I live without wondering what is going to happen tomorrow or if I am going to be able to eat dinner at night. World poverty and hunger goes hand in hand with the Syrian Refugee Crisis since it something very hard for me to listen to and to later on having to create an infographic was fun but at the same time kind of shocking to having to read about those statistics. Those were only a couple of the themes I will always have with me that I learned with my favorite teacher Ms.Costales.
