Senior Internship 2

As an intern Banco Popular I have gained knowledge about different aspects of the investment sector. I was assigned to one of the managers, Diego Mera. My work was based on reviewing proposals from different companies each with a different approach. What they proposed was that the bank invest in their ideas. Based on this my task was to perform a risk analysis. To do this I analyzed the pros and cons according to the industry of each organization. I also had to review the proposal summarize it and calculate the important numbers to understand the economic situation of each company. For example I had to calculate the work capita of each company by taking the total current assets and divide them by the total current liabilities, I had to calculate the EBITDA (earnings before interest taxes and depreciation/amortization) by taking the operating income and adding depreciation amortization, I also had to calculate the Rentability of assets by taking the net income and dividing it by the total assets among other things.
