Gender Issues

We're now living in the 21st century. The world has massively progressed throughout the last century and we have become an advanced and progressive society. People have finally become tolerant of race and women and men both have a chance to succeed. Although women can succeed, this society is more geared towards men, and it still needs to change. We live in a macho society, many believe that women only care, and that the man is the only one who must contribute financially since he is seen as a provider of the family. All this results in the man sits with the ability to exercise more rights than the woman. Women feel opressed, and are part in many horrible situations, it's time for a change, the world is advancing and men's mentality should to. There are many movements that are attempting to get women equal rights and are on the path to succeed.  The world has many influential women like Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and many more. These icons are promoting feminism and believe in equality. We need to follow their footsteps and help spread the word, and understand them. Most modern thinkers agree with these women and want equality for everyone, gay, straight, black, white, male, female. And this is the correct way of looking at it. We should seek to make everyone equal because this way society can progress, and all hatred and discrimination will be left behind. I hope men everywhere agree with me and want the world to better itself.
