Summary of Learning
Current Events is a pretty interesting class in which we go over current topics that affect the world. Here we talk, discuss or write about this topics to develop a deeper understanding of each topic. On this semester Current Events started of a bit burring but as the class progressed it started to get closer to my liking. Over all I did enjoy this class, there were some topics that didn't grab my attention but others did. The ones that appealed to me the most were Gender Equality, Immigration, Hunger and Trump, because they were the ones affecting the most right now. Throughout this wonderful semester I had the opportunity of participating in interactive discussions in which every student gave their opinion/side in the conversation. This engaging moments are the ones I won't forget about this course. Current Events taught me how to be open minded about others opinions and how not to judge others if their opinion was completely oposite to mine. I did enjoy this course but it didn't meet my all my expectations. Things I would recommend for next year would be having less blog posts, people actually don't like them, assign maybe a group project. I would recommend this class to students interested on what is happening in the world right now. These different opinions have definitely changed my viewpoints on various subjects and I am thankful for that. Thank you for having us Ms. Costales it was a pleasure to be in your course.
