Climate Change
Climate Change is one of the most threatening issues the world faces currently. As we are cutting trees while burning oil and coal to make money, greenhouse gasses are going straight in to the atmosphere. This causes the earth to get warmer and warmer every year destroying animal habitats. This is why it is said that humanity is on a collision course with nature, which was said by David Suzuki, an environmental activist. I totally agree with David on this quote as it is evident that us humans are interfering with nature, and in a negative way. Us producing things at factories require us to burn fossil fuels, which later pollute the air. We also contribute to the air contamination by all the garbage we leave. In addition, we are axing down millions of trees for land to grow crops, or to use the wood as furniture causing great harm to nature. Industrialization and deforestation is clearly impeding nature to work well and is leading to climate change. It is for this reason that we must work towards a solution. People should be motivated to reducing greenhouse emissions and should stop being hesitant about this just because of the idea that climate change will not affect their lifespan. Although it is almost impossible to not rely on fossil fuels on our daily lives, we should make it our goal to employ eco friendly alternatives on our lives. Things like wind energy and plant derived plastics are a perfect example. Additionally, we need to try our best on reducing so much vehicle traveling since this way C02 is released in to the air. Climate change is a problem that requires a massive amount of work to see the difference, but if humans team up against it and really do everything they can, our future generations will not have to suffer because of us.
