Immigration

Immigration is the international movement of people into a destination country of which they are not natives or where they do not possess citizenship. People may migrate from their countries due to many possible circumstances, such as searching for new job opportunities, wanting to start a new family, or in some cases, simply just trying to find a new life.

For example, a famous case of immigration that is now observed, is Venezuela. There is an enormous flow of Venezuelan citizens into the Dominican Republic and other countries of the Caribbean. Venezuela has gone through critical political upheaval, and during these rough patches their government has been going through, the people have been massively affected. Venezuelans are leaving Venezuela in order to find new opportunities in order to acquire a brighter future.

I have always seen a similar difference between immigrants and refugees because they leave their countries due to some specific need of seeking a new life. There are obvious differences, however, for example, how refugees are in a way received in countries more easily than migrants.

Immigration has always been an occuring matter and it will continue being so as long as countries all over the world permit it.
