Humanity is on a Collision Force with Nature

I remember perfectly, I was in fifth grade sitting in Ms. Hadid classroom when I saw something that transformed my view on the earth and the human role in it. It was Al Gore's award winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, my mind was blown away and at a young age I became a fervent environmentalist. I would run around my house turning off lights and unplugging chargers, I even cut out newspaper articles on global warming a pasted them on my sister's walls for I considered her to be the greatest abuser of energy I knew. The environment because one of my greatest concerns, and even though today it doesn't occupy so much of my mind as it did once it still worries me. Humanity seems determined to destroy itself, it it’s through war, disease or destruction of the planet is what's left to determine. The earth is dying and we are the only ones to blame, we have been given a perfect home and yet we only seem to vandalize it. It's not like we don't know, the information is out there, the facts exist, our planet is a ticking bomb and it’s been like this for a while yet we do nothing. Are we masochists or truly idiots? I do not know, all I know is action needs to be taken and quickly for soon we might not even a home. We must turn to all nations not only those developed but those who lack resources and are usually most hurt environmentally for solutions. The human race must work together to solve this issue and fight for our survival.
