Humanity is on a Collision Course with Nature
I believe that the phrase "humanity is a collision course with nature" is a true statement. Humans are the major cause of climate change. In the article by Eugene Scott published in CNN he states how the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) chief Scott Pruitt said that humans are not the primary contributors to why there is climate change. However, I disagree completely with his belief. "The EPA itself has said that net emissions of greenhouse gasses from human activities increased by 35% from 1990 to 2010, and emissions of carbon dioxide, which account for about three-fourths of total emissions, increased by 42% over this period”. It is clear that humans are the primary factor towards climate change. Because of all the companies as well as all the fuels burned by human activity are causing a major increase in the increase of green gasses in our atmosphere. It is affecting humans and the environment that surrounds us. From changes in temperature to the melting of the arctic, these are just of few of the effects of climate change. Since it is our fault we should all work together to end this. By working as a community we can put a halt to this epidemic. A few things we can do in order to decrease the CO2 gas emission is carpooling. Also the three R’s, which are recycling, reusing and reducing. If we follow these simple steps we are one step closer to putting a halt to climate change and increasing the chances of a brighter/cleaner future in our environment.
