Humanity is on a collision course with nature

I agree with the quote that "Humanity is on a collision course with nature". Since the Industrial Revolution, earth has been receiving an unfair treatments caused by humans. There is sufficient evidence that was a increase in the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. It is unreal how humans have been treating the earth knowing that later on there will be a much greater consequence. Ray Kurzweil came up with the Singularity Theory in which humans will learn how to transcend biology and overcome limitations such as death with the use of technology. This theory is helpful for us to understand, because we will never now if this will actually be true if the consequences of global warming destroy the entire human race. It is very ironic how in early times humans learned how to survive without releasing that much carbon dioxide. Clearly, a solution can be for governments to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by taxing those who surpass the legal limit. By doing this companies can realize the effects of their mass consumption and will learn new ways to become more productive without harming the environment. Without a doubt, humans are the animal the utilizes more nature and we are able to control its courses with changes that can start in homes. This quote is very impactful and wise choice can be to expose the dangers of global warming to the public because this way a change can be achieved based on fear of extinction.
