Gender Inequality

Gender inequality is the idea that women and men are not equal. Sadly, we live in a world were men are considered of higher power, and are perceived to demand the most respect and it is common for men to over rule women. For this reason most of the time women are the ones who suffer from this discrimination the most and it is all due to our gender. Many women are affected in their workplace, their home, within their community and so on. In countries like Iraq and Afghanistan women are held to lower position to men. Normally in countries in the middle east such as Iraq and Afghanistan women are often thought of as property rather than what they actually are, human beings. Often the question "Why does gender inequality happen?" can be answered in various ways. A country's or community's culture, male chauvinism, and last but not least stereotypes. Inequality in the workplace men tend to receive higher pay than men which is a major disadvantage to women who sold be receiving the same pay. In my opinion this might be caused because of women are thought to be the ones who should stay home and clean the house take of the children and just stay at home and be a typical housewife. Sexual harassment to women is something that goes hand in hand with gender inequality it is almost never heard of sexual harassment towards men since they are the stronger ones and are able to defend themselves easier than women because of their physique or just simply because they are men. Gender Inequality is a crisis going on worldwide where ladies are worthless in a way then most gentlemen.
