Marijuana legalization

Marijuana legalization is an issue that many people have different opinions on. In some countries it is legal, but in others it is not. There are 2 different types of marijuana legalization; there is medicinal weed (Cannabis), and for recreational use. In my opinion, Marijuana should be legalized in both aspects. Many people disagree on the recreational use because it is a "harmful" drug that puts people in a high. However, I feel this drug is actually way less harming than alcohol, as it has 0 reported deaths coming from it. It is also proven that this does not directly cause lung cancer, in contrast to cigarettes, which is very common to be deadly. I understand that people are scared of it because it is treated the same way as cocaine and heroin, but if we see the facts it is actually not so dangerous. On the other hand, I totally agree with medicinal weed being legalized, as people are seeing that it's medicinal use has been very helpful to some patients. I recently watched a documentary of a 7 year old kid which had about 500 seizures per week due to epilepsy. Nothing was working for the kid, and the parents had to resort to medicinal weed hoping it would work. Fortunately, it was the only thing that stopped the seizures. Therefore, I think marijuana should be legalized as the facts prove it is not as dangerous as people depict it to be. Also, it has saved lots of helpless lives.
