Zero Hunger

"You must eat all your food, there are people around the world who don't have what to eat." is something that iv'e heard for my entire lifetime. I never really put much thought into it until now that we are discussing about these Global Goals. World Hunger has been around for the longest period of time and it is commonly seen in the places with low income. I find it absurd that currently there are still people who don't have enough food to survive, and by the time of their death it will be because of starvation. 795 million people around the world find themselves struggling to survive. These people find themselves undernourished and not being able to carry a healthy and active life, something that is extremely concerning. Statistics show that every 10 seconds a person dies due to hunger. That would outcome to around 21,000 people daily according to the United Nations. Sadly, it is children who die most often. Yet there is plenty of food in the world for everyone. Maybe that food is concentrated in only one area meanwhile another area isn't able to produce that extra food. Now, you may be wondering "What causes hunger in the world?" the answer to that would be climate and weather. Natural disasters such as floods, tropical storms and long periods of drought are on the increase -- with calamitous consequences for the hungry poor in developing countries. Drought is one of the most common causes of food shortages in the world. And this all links up to the poverty occurring around the world. Some farmers from poor places sell everything they can harvest without leaving enough food for themselves which causes them to have food shortages. Hunger, along with poverty should be ended as soon as possible.
