#2 End Hunger

There are many conflicts that we see on a daily basis on our world at the moment. However, the one I truly believe requires more attention is ending hunger.  There are millions of people out there who can't get enough to eat and eventually starve to death. The problem is that these people were born without the same opportunities in life many of us have. Most of these people have the misfortune of being uneducated, with no one other than themselves to look out for them. In order to survive they rely on no other than dirty leftovers on the trash can. According to a World Food Programme statistic, about 795 million people in the world don't have enough food to lead a healthy active life. On the other hand, there are lots of people who have more than plenty to eat including myself and we still don't do anything about it.  If just everyone could realize how immoral the situation is then we could work towards a solution. Locally, I believe that in order to solve this problem we should initiate a program at school: monthly, all students must contribute with a certain amount of rice, beans, and meat to those in need. The donations would go to poor orphanages which lack to provide for the children. I feel that CMS can make a huge difference, at least in the city of Santo Domingo, if we really push ourselves to our limit. The #2 objective in The Global Goals is-if not the most- prominent conflict presently occurring.
