Water Scarcity
We live in a world in which water is scarce and consequently, lacking to many people in the world. According to World Wildlife 1.1 billion people in the world lack water and another 2.7 billion find water scarce for at least a month. It is clear that finding drinking water is a problem that is growing more each day.
Drinking water that is not safe can expose people to horrible diseases such as cholera. Children who are not given proper drinking water can grow ill very easily and consequently, die.
In the documentary “Cowspiracy,” the reporter mentioned how the world does not notice how sustaining animals is affecting the availability to water as a whole. We consume about 8% of water on our daily lives. This includes either showering, brushing our teeth, washing our face or doing the dishes. Feeding animals, cow specifically, in order for our future consumption wastes over 70% of water.
Poverty dramatically affects people's access to clean drinking water. The poorest areas in the world are the ones that are more heavily impacted by the lack of drinking water. I believe that this issue is extremely important since it affects many societies in the world. This issue is clearly seen in many areas of the Dominican Republic. Our country is extremely poor and everyday day many more children, men and women die because of the lack of access to clean water. Something that should not be only for the privileged, but for all human beings.

Very good. You had interesting facts that attracts the reader. You should double check. Overall good but could use improvement.
ReplyDeleteClaudine and I share the same thoughts! I agree. Water is a common necessity and its scarcity must be resolved as quickly as possible. Your flow and word choice is quite on point.
