Child hunger

Food is essential for humans, especially for children. Hunger goes hand in hand with poverty. Because people don't have money to afford food, they can not eat thus they cannot provide their children with food to eat. Children who are facing hunger do not receive the right amount of nutrients that they need to be healthy and develop correctly. Some nutrients that lack in the children that are essential for their health are Iron, vitamin A, and Iodine. Because of this many are malnourished and weigh less that they normally have to weigh. Malnutrition also affects their lives because in contrast to well-nourished children they can't focus on their education, therefore cannot be productive in their lives falling deeper into poverty. Approximately 3.1 children die each year because of hunger. Countries have taken an approach to decrease the number of children who are going through hunger. Currently, in Japan, there are many children who are facing hunger. To fight this they have created   "children cafeterias" were weekly, children who cannot afford a meal go and eat. The problem is not that not enough food is being produced, it's that many people cannot afford the food. This is why the government has to improve the way in which they help those who are not in a good economic position. But, we can also help by donating to charity money and food.  We have to tackle the problem of hunger which is mainly caused by poverty so that children in this world can have a chance in life.
