Ending huger now

Today we watched the ted talk called “Ending huger now” from Josette Sheeran who is currently working as the seventh president and CEO of the Asia Society to help the world overcome poverty and eradicate child mortality. In her ted-talk, she addresses the core problem we are facing these days which is poverty especially in Africa. Everyone knows that many people in impoverished countries still suffer from a lack of basic access to food, water, health and medical care, however, we tend to take a blind eye to those who live with constant hunger. Even though a single package of food which costs less than 25 cents a day can overcome a child's malnutrition it doesn’t seem like we do care about this situation. I think we should take active actions to alert people how serious it is and remind them a little help from everyone can have a great impact on eradication of child mortality and poverty. As Josette Sheeran said, I strongly believe that “this isn’t one of those rare diseases that we don’t have the solution for. We know how to fix hunger”. We don’t need to look for a solution, because we already know it. All we have to do is be compassionate and support people in need.
