Child Mortality
Child mortality is a huge problem all over the world with children dying at an alarming rate every day. This to me is unacceptable in such an advanced world as the one we live in today. It is understandable that some children who are on accidents or have disorders die at a young age, but things like hunger, lack of hydration among other basic needs which should by now be available to everyone. These are things like personal hygiene, even warfare is killing many children and even adults alike. But the thing that is the most alarming is that 5.9 million children died in 2015 and more than half of these deaths were preventable in some way which means that we as a species do not have an excuse. We are the most intelligent animal in planet earth and we are still letting beings in our own species die like flies, simply because we were too busy fighting wars and working on companies to make money. We should be out there saving people in the most need, not sitting all day in front of a computer helping people buy things at a supermarket. I believe that if more people would volunteer and do these things for the people in need this world would slowly become a much better place. And even though child mortality is getting better it is not even close to the rate that was predicted when the global goals were set. I believe in the human race and if we work together anything is possible.
