Global Goal # 14 - Life Below Water
Global Goal is an organization that has adopted a new sustainable development agenda and global changes in different parts of the country. In total there are 17 goals which any one can contribute and help make a change. The goal I have chosen is goal number 14, which talks about Life Below Water. In my opinion this topic is important because as it may not seem, the marine ecosystem is being threaten by all the chemicals, pollution and other contaminations that are being caused. Many people think that everything that is above the ocean is the only thing that is being affected. It's true, many forests, animals and even ourselves are being affected by pollution and the different kind of environmental changes but their is also life under water which we depend from them too. All the world is like food chain. We depend on all kind of animals and plants that we crop or grow in order to obtain food. And they all are like a food chain because they maintain a balance of over population in sea and land creatures. Because of all the contamination going on, many sea animals are begging to die and in one point they will get extinct. Coral Reefs are also dying and they are a wildlife habitat for many fishes. This organization has already set themselves some goals and are trying to catch the attention of all the people from around the world to help make a change before it’s too late. Some ideas have already been proposed and are spreading the word. A way we can help contribute to this society it by also helping make a change but in our country. “ No Water, No Life, No Blue, No Green.” quote by Sylvia Earle. This quote is true because if we don’t make a change then our planet will suffer and we humans in the future will suffer too.
